PABLO TRAPERO Y VIKAS SWARUP: Misterio en la India


El nombre de Pablo Trapero es familiar para cualquier persona interesada en el cine latinoamericano y mundial, así como lo son sus películas de alta relevancia social. Aproximadamente veinte años de su trabajo han sido aplaudidos en todo el mundo, con películas como Familia Rodante, Leonera y Elefante Blanco (con la superestrella Ricardo Darín). Trapero fue nombrado Presidente de la categoría Un Certain Regard en el Festival de Cannes 2014. Su más reciente proyecto lo ha llevado a Delhi y Mumbai para filmar la adaptación de la novela de Vikas Swarup Six Suspects (Seis Sospechosos). Vikas Swarup es mejor conocido como el autor del libro que inspiró la película Slumdog Millionaire de Danny Boyle. El autor leyó el guión y expresó su satisfacción por cómo se llevó a cabo la adaptación de su libro.

Six Suspects es una novela de misterio que gira en torno a los seis huéspedes en una fiesta elegante. El libro ha sido adaptado al cine por John Hodge (de Trainspotting y The Beach). Teniendo en cuenta el gusto por el cine valiente y sincero de tanto Hodge como Trapero, se ha acumulado gran expectativa con respecto a la asociación de ambos. La especulación con respecto al casting de Amitabh Bachchan en la película también ha provocado la efervescencia de los medios de comunicación en la India estos últimos meses. Una cosa es cierta: este será el primer largometraje de Pablo Trapero hecho enteramente en inglés, ampliando así el disfrute de su talento a muchos más públicos.

Oriundo de Buenos Aires, Pablo Trapero ha mencionado recientemente a la prensa cómo el equipo de la película ha tomado con filosofía el tener que interrumpir la filmación en varias ocasiones debido a las lluvias del monzón. Ha expresado también cuánto a pesar de las diferencias aún encuentra a la cultura de la India y la cultura de Argentina parecidas.

El tercer libro de Vikas Swarup también será llevada al cine de Bollywood por Sriram Raghavan (Johnny Gadar, Agent Vinod).

SHAH RUKH KHAN en acción en Berlin



Shah Rukh Khan, el llamado Rey de Bollywood, llegó a Berlín este mes, junto con las estrellas Priyanka Chopra y Lara Dutta, así como 70 otros actores y el personal para el inicio del rodaje de su próxima película, la secuela "Don 2 - La persecución continúa", dirigida por Farhan Akhtar, que anteriormente dirigió el remake en el año 2006 de 'Don', una película legendaria de 1978 (la película original de los años 70 fue protagonizada por nada menos que la leyenda de Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan).

Los productores han descrito 'Don' como una versión en hindi de James Bond, en la que el héroe de la película es sin embargo ¡un astuto e inteligente criminal!

La secuela estará protagonizada por el elenco original de la primera película "Don": Priyanka Chopra y Boman Irani, pero también dará la bienvenida a nuevos personajes que serán protagonizados por la codiciada Lara Dutta, Sameera Reddy y el apuesto Kunal Kapoor.

Shah Rukh Khan, que interpreta el papel principal menciona que la inspiración para filmar 'Don' en Berlín sucedió durante su visita a la ciudad alemana durante el festival de cine de 2008.

"Me encanta Berlín ... Es una de las ciudades más bellas que he visto. He estado aquí por dos semanas y no siento que estoy trabajando", dijo Khan en una conferencia de prensa reciente. El actor de 44 años de edad, goza de una base de fans importante en Alemania, donde sus películas se doblan y se venden al público en general de habla alemana, con gran éxito.

Mientras que la estrella parece sentir que no está trabajando, no sólo comenzó a filmar, pero la de inmediato se lanzó a hacer hazañasen una excena que consistía en saltar desde la azotea del Hotel Park Inn en Alexanderplatz en Berlín. Parece ser que últimamente estas hazañas han dejado lastimado, esta vez al manejar un auto que perdió el control.

Además de esto, el actor también se ha estado preparando para más escenas de acción: "estoy aprendiendo a bucear... a volar... a manjear carros rápido... estoy escuchando canciones viejas y también haciendo gimnasia... jugando al PS3 (Play Station 3) al fútbol... le hemos ganado a Boman y Ritesh (Farhan y yo)... Feliz", twitteo SRK esta semana.

'Don 2' es una producción indo-alemana con la que Alemania espera atraer a millones de espectadores de la India para viajar a la bella ciudad de Berlín, mostrando algunas de las atracciones  más conocidas de la ciudad turística. Shah Rukh Khan también ve esta oportunidad como una "excelente forma de mostrar esta ciudad a un público en la India".

La versión en hindi de la película parece estar programada para su estreno en diciembre de 2011. Se sigue debatiendo si la versión doblada al alemán será lanzada simultáneamente o durante el Festival de Berlín que se celebrará en febrero del 2012.
